Kindergarten Teacher

Job Type: Full-time, Immediate

The Hellenic American Academy, a close-knit, family-oriented school community, is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. We are committed to providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment where students develop a strong academic foundation while embracing Greek culture and Hellenic values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and learning standards
• Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that encourages students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and learning, inspiring students to reach their full potential
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues as part of a collaborative and family-like school community
• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students, ensuring they are engaged and motivated
• Uphold school values, maintaining a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and development
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience

Qualifications:

• Valid DESE (Department of Elementary and Secondary Education) certification required
• Experience working with kindergarten or early elementary students is preferred
• Strong understanding of child development and early learning strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs
• Enthusiastic, patient, and nurturing approach to teaching
• A collaborative mindset, with a desire to contribute to the school community
