Mrs. Maria Booras

Greek Teacher

Mrs. Booras has been a dedicated educator at the Hellenic American Academy for 27 years. She began her career in the preschool program, where she taught for three years, and has spent the past 25 years passionately teaching Greek Cultural Studies. Her curriculum includes instruction in the Greek language, history, traditional dancing, and the Greek Orthodox faith. Throughout the school year, Mrs. Booras engages her students through multiple lenses, offering them a rich and holistic understanding of Greek culture.

Mr. Andreas Tzineris

Greek Teacher

Mr. Andreas Tzineris holds a B.A. from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, an M.A. in Language Studies from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, and a Certificate of Specialization in Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language from the Centre for the Greek Language in Thessaloniki. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Language, Literacy, and Culture program at the College of Education, University of Massachusetts Amherst. With extensive experience in language education, Mr. Tzineris brings a strong academic foundation and deep passion for teaching. He is honored to contribute to the mission of the Hellenic American Academy, a school with such rich history and cultural significance.
